About Us

Kathy Topham, DVM, CCRT, VSMT, CMAV

Dr. Topham received her veterinary degree at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Her special interest in canine sports medicine was sparked with volunteering as a trail veterinarian for sled dog races in the lower 48 states, and further developed along side her passion for dog agility.  Through these experiences, Dr.  Topham saw a great need to further her education in canine sports medicine, so her first certification in Canine Rehabilitation at The Animal Rehabilitation Institute came in 2004, quickly followed by her  certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy by the Healing Oasis in 2005, and most recently her certification in Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians by Colorado State University in 2009.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.  In her spare time, Dr. Topham can be found competing with her dogs in a variety of sports.
